Re-opening the Surgery doors

Firstly, we hope you and your families are keeping safe and well during these unusual times.

As many of you will know, we have been operating out of a reception window for some time now and we thank you for your understanding of this unusual set-up.

We are pleased to announce that we will be re-opening the surgery doors next week with strict safety measures in place.

To reduce the risks to our staff and patients, we ask that you help us by observing the following safety guidelines.

Please only come to the surgery if you have an appointment or need to collect a prescription, medication or paperwork that we cannot email to you. For any other queries, please call us or use our website to get in touch.

Please request repeat medication online. If you do not have an account, you can submit your request in the ‘Prescriptions and medicines centre’ on our website. If you do not have access to the internet, you can post your request in the external letter box to the left of the front doors, you do not need to queue or come inside the building. If you are unable to request online or in person, we are temporarily accepting repeat requests on the telephone.

Any patient entering the building will need to bring a face covering to wear – even if you are just collecting a prescription please. This does not need to be an actual mask, a scarf or similar is fine, as long as it covers your mouth and nose. Children under 11 and anyone with severe breathing difficulties will not be required to wear a face covering.

There will be separate queues for reception and dispensary, coming out of the front doors down the steps. Please keep your distance whilst queuing and follow the signs and floor stickers.

Wheelchair users and those with reduced mobility may, of course, use the ramp and join the queue at the top of the steps.

We are operating a strict one way system through the surgery, ENTRY ONLY through the main front doors, and EXIT ONLY through the side doors at either end of the building.

Where possible please attend the surgery alone, unless you require support or don’t have childcare options.

Please do not come to the surgery if you have any coronavirus symptoms.

Thank you for your patience and co-operation during this time.
